Oct 2008 - Triple joy for Starlite Printers (Far East) Pte Ltd for having been awarded 3 WorldStar 2008.

Singapore, 21 October 2008 - In its first attempt at the WorldStar Award, Starlite Printers (Far East) Pte Ltd is proud to be awarded the WorldStar 2008 for all its three entries, Erdinger Oktoberfest Box, HP Photo Pack 110 and JW Black Centurion Box. Starlite is the only printer from Singapore to receive this prestigious award this year.

The Erdinger box has two outstanding features. Firstly, the unique geometry of the box: it is convex when viewed from the front and concave when viewed from the side. Secondly, it is consumer oriented and user friendly where the full contents can be viewed through the front window.

The HP Photo Pack is a single promotion box with 2 separate compartments for holding photo paper and an ink cartridge. As for the JW Black Centurion box, it is a commemorative pack created to celebrate the 100 years of launch of the Black Label.

The WorldStar competition is started in 1970 and is organsied by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO). The WPO is a nonprofit, non-governmental, international federation of national and regional packaging institutes, associations, federations and other interested parties including corporations and trade associations. The WPO is on the roster of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
