Nov 2005 - Starlite Holdings Ltd has been selected by Forbes Asia as one of the 200 companies with revenue under US$1 billion a year.
Singapore, 10 September 2005 - In its annual listing of the "Best Under a Billion" companies, Starlite Holdings Ltd has been selected by Forbes Asia as one of the 200 companies with revenues under US$1 billion a year, to receive the award. The award has been made even more prestigious with only 22 companies in Hong Kong being selected and Starlite is the only company from print industry.
Forbes imposes strict criteria for its selection of the "Asia Best Under a Billion" list, requiring positive earnings growth during the past five years and a pre-tax profit of at least 5% in the latest financial year. Selected companies are exemplary of entrepreneuship, reflecting growth and consistency in financial peformance.
Mr KY Lam (Chairman/CEO), attended the award ceremony which was held on 10 November 2005 in Sentosal Golf and Country Club, Singapore. Mr Lam received the Award from Mr Steve Forbes, President of Forbes Magazine.
In his executive address to employees of Starlite (whom recently celebrated their 35th Anniversary on the 9 November 2005), Mr KY Lam expresses his gratitude for the support from his colleagues in achieving such a honor and challenges them to embrace the future with confidence.
